Updated Blogstamp module for Drupal 6.x

Certified StampI finally decided to upgrade the blogstamp client for drupal to the latest 6.x branch of Drupal. It really only took me a day to do and I'm not really sure why I didn't do it like a year ago... I guess I'm just lazy. Sticking out tongue

Open access

Today I decided to open up user registration on mattfleming.com. Registered users can now:

Upgrade drupal to 4.7

I upgraded the site from Drupal 4.6 to 4.7 today. The process is fairly detail intensive and took me 5 hours to complete (AFAIK). Here's how I did it..

blogstamp.org

blogstamp.org has been launched! It took me about 5 months of train rides to the city, to get the back-end server (java) and drupal front-end fully working. Hopefully someone finds it useful..Smiling

Protecting this site from spambots

I have only had this site up for about half a year but the amount of spam-type requests is pretty significant. The requests fill up my logs and poach bandwidth. Most of the time I see spam trackback requests but occasionally spam comments happen as well...

Email notifications in Drupal 4.6.3

The last thing that I want to enable for this site, is the ability to receive email notifications when something changes.. e.g. a comment is posted, new story, etc. This seemed like an innocuous feature but I wondered why it wasn't included in the main distribution...

Data conversion complete

I finished importing all of my previous roller entries into the drupal system. I ended up doing it manually.. I know, I know.. "aren't you some kind of programmer?" But by the time I created a proggie to extract and load the data for a one-time data transfer, I could have manually entered the data about ten times; it just didn't seem worth it. As Dennis Miller would say "I don't want to go off on a rant here but.."
